Chemical Peels
Many skin conditions and imperfections can be treated with chemical peels used to improve and smooth the texture of facial skin. Chemical facial peels are often used to reduce fine lines, acne scarring, wrinkles, and uneven some pigmentation.
All chemical peels involve applying a chemical solution to remove the outer layers of skin so that smoother glowing skin can appear. Depending upon the type of peel treatment, a reaction similar to sunburn occurs following a chemical peel. After any peel, it is critically important that the skin be properly protected from the sun.
